I am trying to get my head around what a PLE is for my own personal studies. I have come to the conclusion that I take Leigh's stance on this. But at the same time, your words did ring a bell. I am very confident with the Internet but I have been watching colleagues and students struggle with the 'chaos' of the Internet, so I can see why some would prefer a more 'enclosed' site that acts as a one stop shop.
