I never meant to suggest that one needs to ‘choose’ between them. The Caveat that i posted about using VLEs for introductory courses addresses this I think. I’m wondering which part of the post suggests otherwise… it’s a long post, i don’t want to read it 🙂

I’m suggesting that at the high end (wherever those students may be) one definition of the PLE is very different from the other and if we choose the second definition, then we need to think about connections overtly.

Now looking back at this comment, i realize that i would have saved alot of ink just saying it this way 😛
