@dkernohan good point re: the money running out. This post is mostly just me thinking outloud. I was thinking of ‘decision makers’ in terms of being free from the politics inevitably associated with making baseline decisions about what constitute acceptable structure.

@sleslie 1. scott it’s a blog post. no need to be scared. I think outloud and share it and look for response.

2. The dictionary standardizes a platform. This post stems out of the conversation I had locally with some people who work on Red Seal for welding. That’s not about rhizomatic knowledge negotiation. it’s a test. the real learning happens after they get their accreditation and start to work… the rhizomatic stuff happens there. Before that, they need to fill in some blanks. That can be standardized. These are people who are spending $1000 mostly going to publishers, for content that we already have. That stuff can be shoved in something that looks very much like a dictionary.
