  1. Check out “Race Against the Machine” by authors Erik Brynjolfsson and Andrew McAfee (MIT); it is engaging and intriguing. They discuss how quickly and completely computers are encroaching into human territory, and they argue there are dire economic consequences. In the conclusion, the supposition is made that even though computers are demonstrating skills and abilities that used to belong exclusively to human workers, they cannot match the human mind in the areas of intuition and creativity. We still have the edge in these functions.
