Thanks for reposting this Dave. I had not seen it before. As someone who came in at 15 I’m fascinated by 14 and little bits of it seem to turn up everywhere.

I wonder about the resilience of 14 compared to 15? I wasn’t there so I’m not sure if 15 continued in the same way that 14 did? For me personally, I saw 15 as sort of a launching pad for me over the last year. Yes the projects, presentations, blog posts, connected learning movements, colleagues, and friends that I have made over the last year were not called #rhizo15 but would I have made them without that experience – it is really hard for me to say yes. I’m not saying I can attribute the whole of my past year to #rhizo15 but dang there is a lot that started from that. I don’t think I’m the only one. Still, I think that is different from what you describe above.

As for you and if you are “in charge”, I do think of you as a leader in the #rhizo community but I guess I just don’t see you as the only one. I do think that you have a really strong influence but I have also seen others in the community have a really strong influence in creating huge collaborative projects. On a related note I’ve seen you, just like many others in the community, try to create projects that really didn’t take off. My point is I don’t think it is fair to give you all the credit or all the blame for the last two rMOOCs. I think that we want that in a healthy community; shared self-directed leadership. I do think that you have some responsibility to the rhizo community. From what I’ve seen I think you realize that and take it seriously. At the same time I think that each member of the community needs to do the same. It’s a tall order but I saw it happen in 15.

So, 8yr old Oscar is your dad in charge of ALL of #rhizo14 – all over the world? I would say Yes – but he’s not the only one, thankfully.
